Brescia - SPAL, coach De Rossi's pre-match conference

Just a few hours before the game at home to Brescia, coach De Rossi presented the upcoming match against the Rondinelle, valid for the 14th day of the 2022-2023 Serie BKT Championship, at a press conference.

"We know that in the last match against Benevento," coach De Rossi began, "we played at a lower level than what we expressed in Terni, but as I always tell the boys we have to be the architects of our destiny or, better yet, the architects of our performance. What we want to do we know and we must be able to put it on the field in every game."

"Brescia has very good players," said the Biancozzurri coach, "and they are a team that started so well in the league that today can afford to face a slight downturn from the point of view of results. It has outstanding players and strong strikers both physically and in playing between the lines. They have a few injured and that leaves us with a few more questions, because they might adopt different modules: but we cannot waste too much time planning something that is not programmable, because if they show up tomorrow with a 0-5-5 we would be bewildered. Let's think about what we have to do, aware of the opponent's value, but also of the fact that we are strong as well."

"Talking about goals today could be a boomerang. - continued the Spallino coach - I think this team is strong and it is not madness to talk about playoffs, because we are only five points away and winning against Brescia would bring us even closer to those positions, but otherwise we have to look carefully at who comes from behind. We must have great awareness of our possibilities, but also great awareness of what the current standings are and how important the points are. If I have to give an overall judgment on this roster, I say without a doubt that it is a team capable of staying comfortably in the playoffs, because I am aware that I have a strong team, but I also know that we started slow, so today I think the most logical thing to do is to talk only about Brescia."

"Despite the break for the national teams, there were always so many things to do during the day," concluded Coach De Rossi, "but I want to enjoy this moment to the fullest, because I never forget how much I wanted this job and how good what I do is. Just yesterday I was walking with my staff through the streets of the city center and we were talking about how good we are here in Ferrara: that's why I think it's important sometimes to be able to slow down from the hectic pace of everyday life and savor all the beauty we are experiencing here today."
