SPAL: a new digital model for Fan and Sponsors

“S.P.A.L. is above all a community of sports enthusiasts, athletes, families but also sponsors who believe in the value of the club. All together we must think that digital is a fundamental part of our future.”  With these words the president Joe Tacopina introduces the new digital model that S.P.A.L. launches in December 2022 in Italy.

Smartphone application of the club, dynamic web-app for PC and Desktop, digital format management system for sponsors and an innovative "phygital" (physical + digital) platform based on QR Code and "Contactless" NFC (Near Field Communication) Chip ) capable of connecting the jerseys, merchandising, stadium and marketing supports of SPAL with digital experiences designed to involve the fan community: these are the ingredients of the innovative digital model that SPAL launches in Italy in collaboration with Abilitya, a Swiss brand destined to be talked about a lot for the digital innovations brought to the world of sport.
The apps and web-apps are based on a simple principle: fans are used to dynamic formats such as Instagram video stories or Tik Tok, and within a new digital and personalized club environment it is necessary to offer these formats because they are strongly "engaging".
Therefore, the SPAL app and web-app, available for iPhone and Android phones, become modern digital spaces consistent with the "social" habits of users where you can find exclusive content, curiosities, videos of the club's daily life, interviews as well as results, links to the online shop and ticket office.
The app and web-app also offer innovative tools such as "scratch and discover" cards: a way to access exclusive promotions and discounts.
Innovation is truly at the heart of the model: features such as chat-blogs, which will involve "sports influencers", are part of the new program proposed for 2023.
