Radja Nainggolan is biancazzurro!

S.P.A.L. reports that it has signed midfielder Radja Nainggolan to a contract until June 30, 2023, with an automatic renewal for the 2023/2024 football season upon the fulfillment of certain conditions.

Born in 1988, of Belgian nationality, Nainggolan took his first football steps in the academy of K. Beerschot A.C., then joined the Piacenza Calcio youth sector in 2005, making his professional debut in the 2005/2006 Serie B Championship at the age of eighteen.

After 71 appearances and 4 goals in Serie B with the biancorossa jersey, he moved to Cagliari in January 2010, immediately making his debut in the top league in the match between the rossoblù and Inter at San Siro. Among the ranks of the Sardinian formation, he collected 137 appearances and 7 goals between Serie A and Coppa Italia, before moving to A.S. Roma in January 2014.

With the giallorossi jersey, he is immediately a protagonist and in the 2014/2015 season, in addition to being one of the team's landmarks in Serie A, where he scored 5 goals, he made his debut in both the Champions League and Europa League. In 2016/2017 he had his best season in giallorossi colors with 14 goals in the 53 appearances achieved between National and European competitions.

In the summer of 2018, after 203 appearances and 33 goals, he ended his experience with A.S. Roma and moved to Inter. In nerazzurro he scored 7 goals, including the winning goal on the last day of the championship against Empoli, which was decisive for Inter's qualification to the next edition of the Champions League.

The following year he returned to Cagliari, contributing to two consecutive salvations with a total score of 48 appearances and 7 goals. At the beginning of the 2021/2022 season, he moved to Royal Antwerp F.C., a team participating in the Jupiler Pro League, Belgium's top national league, among whose ranks he collected 55 appearances and 6 goals between the national league and Europa League.

Always summoned to Belgium's various youth selections, Nainggolan made his debut with the senior national team in May 2009. With his country's representative team, he was able to reach the quarterfinals of the 2016 European Championships and took the field in 30 games, scoring six goals.

In biancazzurro he will wear the number 44 jersey.
