Simone Edera's presentation press conference

The presentation conference of the new biancazzurro striker Simone Edera was held today at the press room of the "G.B. Fabbri Sports Center."

At the opening of the press conference, it was technical director Filippo Fusco who took the floor first: "We start the year by introducing a new acquisition, although in fact Simone was already available for the last game of 2023. He is a boy of great qualities who needs no introduction and I am very happy that he has joined our group. His qualities are undisputed, but I want to emphasize above all the humility and willingness with which he agreed to train with us even before we decided to sign him. I want to thank him publicly and give him my warmest welcome."

Next it was the turn of the new Spallino striker who said, "I thank the director and the president for believing in me and I want to say right away that I will do everything to repay their trust. I'm doing well and I can't wait to give everything for this club. I have always played as an outside forward, but I have also played other roles on the offensive front and I am at the complete disposal of the coach."

"The first feelings here in Ferrara were good and positive. The group is strong, competitive, definitely needs a lot of work but we have a great staff and a great coach. There is a desire for revenge, we have 19 finals ahead of us in which we will always have to give our best and pour even the last drop of sweat for this jersey."

"My situation is a bit particular because I come from a year and a half in which I did not play: in January I went to Pordenone to get back into the game and it was a difficult six months in which I regained my condition. Before coming to Ferrara I was training two months in Pesaro, and then the call from director Fusco gave me the opportunity to prove that I'm okay. The injury destroyed me, the diagnosis was more serious than expected and it is not easy to get up again, but as my second dad "Sinisa" taught me if you fall seven times you should not get up eight, but ten times and that is what I did."

"I'm happy because I landed in great club: we have amazing facilities, we are in a strong club that wants to return to high levels and that's the same thing I want too. I have been in ambitious clubs that have given me so much, but now I am here and I want to do everything to prove that the choice of the director and the president is right. I feel good, I am at the disposal of the coach and I will accept his choices, although I hope to employ me already from the next game. We are working hard, we are focused on Saturday's match and as far as I am concerned I can say that I feel ready to play and give my contribution for as many minutes as the coach decides to employ me."
