Primavera draws with Reggiana and remains in playoff zone

The first day back of the Primavera 2 Championship saw coach Grieco's SPAL draw 0-0 against Reggiana at the "Gottardi" Stadium in Casalgrande.

The biancazzurri approach the match with great aggressiveness and, in fact, already on the first lap of the lancets they come close to taking the lead with a raid by Carbone on which Motta saves in corner. From the crossbar goes Simonetta and Vesprini is the first to get to the ball, but his conclusion is too weak to trouble the opponent's goalkeeper.

On the quarter-hour mark, the first dangerous action for Reggiana as well, with a conclusion by D'Angelo, but Costantini is good at blocking it, despite a mocking bounce of the ball. The first half ends with a substantial balance and no other particular chances are recorded on either side.

In the resumption it is the hosts who go immediately close to the goal with Paterlini's header on which Costantini overcomes with a great intervention. On the half-hour, however, a chance for SPAL with Carbone who entered the penalty area, but was bricked at the moment of the shot by the opponent's defense.

In the last minutes of the match Reggiana remains in nine men due to a double expulsion decreed by the match director, but despite the forcing of the biancazzurri the challenge closes at 0-0.

Therefore, coach Grieco's boys continue their positive streak, which sees them unbeaten for five rounds, confirming fifth place in the standings just four points behind Parma in second place.
