SPAL - Recanatese, coach Di Carlo's pre-match conference

On the eve of the challenge scheduled at the "Mazza," coach Mimmo Di Carlo presented the match SPAL - Recanatese in the pre-match press conference of the 25th day of the Serie C Championship NOW 2023-2024.

"The spirit is very positive on my part, I thank the club that has restored my confidence by granting me the opportunity to redeem myself together with my players. The team I find has much more quality and I would like to finish well the path I had started. I am highly motivated, focused and confident, although we know that we have to work hard to make sure that we can get out of this situation as soon as possible."

"I spoke with the president several times and did the same with all the corporate components, I found great support from everyone and a good atmosphere was immediately recreated."

"I found again the healthy group I had left but with more quality, although we know that quality is not enough. Today I am asking for more courage and play and already from tomorrow I want to see them on the field along with determination, which is what it takes to win games."

"I am the leader and I have to be the first to transfer the right attitude to the boys. As I've always said it's all of us who have to drag the fans along, and from tomorrow I want to see a team that plays more and with more courage, a team that wants to go for the three points until the ninety-fifth by being in the game all the time, every step of the way."

"Would I do anything differently? Looking back today we would all hurt ourselves. We wanted things to be different, at the beginning I asked for patience because the team was young and new, but I repeat today we reset everything. I am here with the desire to resume the path I started and show everyone that this team is better. The past must be put behind us, from this moment only tomorrow and the future of SPAL matters. I believe in SPAL, I believed in it yesterday and I believe in it today."

"The mental aspect is very important and for this team it is even more so. During the week I focused mainly on this: we have to win duels and have courage, because then we also have quality on our side. We have to give confidence to the players, to the team, and so the results will come. Clearly we are in difficulty, but it is in difficulties that opportunities are found and tomorrow will be a game that we have to try to win in all ways, being aggressive when we have to be and defending with a bone in our mouths when we have to."
