Pescara - SPAL, coach Di Carlo's pre-match conference

Before departing for Abruzzo, coach Mimmo Di Carlo presented the Pescara - SPAL match, scheduled for Tuesday, February 13 at 8:45 p.m., in the pre-match press conference of the 26th day of the Serie C NOW 2023-2024 Championship.

"After Friday's victory against Recanatese, we worked first of all on the team's confidence and head. To have won in ten against eleven was not easy and the group showed once again that when you perform and believe in something important, like getting a win, the result then comes. In addition to that we also worked on the game, because it is an aspect on which we can and must still grow, starting with tomorrow's game against Pescara. We are expecting a team with great speed, always playing forward, pressing forward and, therefore, we will have to be good at playing vertically."

"The whole group, including myself, is eager to demonstrate the strength, ability and quality that are inherent in this team, both in individual players and in the collective. I myself have to keep the rope always pulled and stay on the piece because we haven't done anything yet: Friday's game went well, we were good and recovered the right performance and the right attitude, but now we have to give continuity. I want to see the same determination, the same courage and a high team spirit, because we also want to give satisfaction to the Club and the fans, showing that the team is actually not as bad as it was thought to be before."

"I repeated it to the boys again today: at this moment we must not look at the standings, but we must look only at ourselves, at what we can do, at the attitude and positivity put on the field against Recanatese. It is necessary to continue working on these aspects because only with thick performances can we drag our fans. If we want to go to Pescara to play our game we will have to put this attitude on the field, it will be necessary to know how to suffer but with the conviction to go there and get a result."

"On Friday at the end of the game my happiness was all for the players, the club, and the fans. To date, however, we have still done little because the standings tell us that we need to run hard, also taking into account the pace of the teams ahead of us. We must always look at one game at a time and now all our concentration must be on Pescara: we are going to play in an important stadium against a team that has great leg and speed and I expect a game of high depth and high competitive fury."
