Pescara - SPAL, coach Di Carlo's post-match statements

At the end of the Pescara - SPAL match, coach Mimmo Di Carlo reached the mixed zone of the Stadio Adriatico "G. Cornacchia" to comment on the biancazzurri's external success.

"The greatest satisfaction is the three points, the result again today of a performance of character against Zeman's Pescara, a team against which we know it is difficult to play because it always raises the pace and plays on the flanks with drumming actions. We prepared it to exploit the spaces in depth that our opponents could leave us, good at suffering and putting back a game that we won with quality plays by Antenucci and Maistro. I am especially happy for them, as it was Fabio's first goal in the league, and this victory owes strength, enthusiasm and confidence not only to us, but also to our fans who are finally going home a little happier."

"It's good to see how this team helps itself so much because they want to come out of this situation by putting everything they have on the field. Our last two performances are really daughters of the attitude and courage that I am asking of them. This result is very important because these three points should give us even more strength and confidence ahead of the next game in Fermo, which will be another battle. It is a win that can show us that, playing with this attitude, this intensity and this quality, we can play with anyone."

"The defense tonight provided a great test, but they were able to do so because of the work of the midfielders, outfielders and forwards who did valuable defensive work. The defenders certainly did well to keep their concentration high at all times as many balls came into the box. This is a team that is now well, mentally they are playing it and, although they know they can make some mistakes, they are aware that they can turn the game around as they did today. I give kudos to all the boys because they were fantastic, both on the bench and on the field today you could sense the possibility of getting a result. The boys earned it and deserved these three points, which propel us toward the Fermo challenge with much more confidence."
