Fermana - SPAL, coach Di Carlo's post-match statement

At the end of the match against Fermana, from the "B. Recchioni" Stadium coach Mimmo Di Carlo commented on the draw on the field of the Marche team as follows.

"We came here to try to win the game and we tried with all our qualities. In the first twenty-five minutes we played great soccer, but without being able to materialize. After that Fermana did well to raise their center of gravity, while we went lower and this is definitely something we need to work on: it is right to go lower, but always trying to restart in the right way and with quality."

"At halftime I asked the team to try to give the match our pace and intensity right away, and that's what we did. We played a positive second half and Dalmonte's goal is deserved because it came after a two or three important chances."

"These are dirty and difficult matches and today after our goal we could have scored again, as they could have. We came here to win, but to do that you need to score a goal more than the others and we failed to do that today and we will work for that. I'm very happy with the attitude, the desire and the grit the guys put in to bring this point home."

"We have to play more and believe more because we have the quality. We have to create more to corner the opposing team, while today on some occasions we threw balls too long: that's not good and we will work on that with field work. I liked, however, the team's desire to want to win it even if a draw came in the end, which still gives us continuity."

"Friday we are at home and if we want to get out of this situation there are few calculations to be made about the result. We play against Arezzo and it will definitely be a difficult game, as we have seen that all of them are. On Friday we go back to play in our stadium, in front of our fans and so we prepare ourselves as best we can physically and mentally to find continuity and try to take the three points."
