De Gregorio's review of the first part of the youth sector's season

Having passed the halfway point of the sporting season, Massimiliano De Gregorio, head of the Biancazzurro Youth Sector, takes stock of his first months at the helm of the Spallino academy, analyzing the performance of the various Under's, the human growth, even before the sporting one, of all his boys and the many activities carried out on and off the field.

"We have now reached the halfway point of the various national championships," De Gregorio began, "and starting with the Primavera 2 and Under 17 Championships there is great satisfaction with the results obtained, especially considering that very often we play with under-aged players. From the Under 16 on down, the ranking is not the primary goal, because the focus is all on the growth of the boys: for this reason during the week our youngsters often train with those of higher categories, so that they are always confronted with new challenges. This would not be possible without the availability of our coaches and the great synergy that has been created between the various staffs: the main concept is that there are no players belonging to certain categories, but there are only SPAL players, and we have to do our utmost so that they are always at the center of the project."

"With great pride I can say that this season the Youth Sector has been able to continue to do great work thanks to the opportunity granted by the ownership. Since the summer, great economic and organizational support has been guaranteed for all our activities, and a club that decides to invest in its Youth Sector is a reality that has a long-term vision."

"I am very pleased with our activities in the area," De Gregorio continued, "and I am thinking, first and foremost, of the WE LOVE SPAL Project, which involves all the affiliated clubs in the area and will allow us to hold at least a dozen training events in the coming months with all the coaches of the affiliated clubs. As part of the same initiatives, we will also bring the boys of the various partner clubs to the stadium, to nurture the sense of belonging that has always been present in our reality. We also collaborate, moreover, constantly with SPAL Foundation, both through the SPeciALissimi Project and with visits to numerous elementary schools in the province for physical education lessons given by our instructors. We believe in the development of the territory and believe that growing the whole movement around us can also help SPAL have a solid foundation, making sure that our teams of the future can be composed of many kids born and raised in our city and province."
