SPAL - Carrarese, coach Di Carlo's post-match conference
At the end of the match between SPAL and Carrarese, coach Mimmo Di Carlo reached the press room of the "Paolo Mazza" Stadium to comment with the journalists present on the draw against the Tuscans.
"Today we played the game we had to play. I liked the spirit of reaction after the defeat, because we could have had a more wait-and-see attitude and, instead, we were aggressive and defended well. I think in the first half we could have done a little better, because in the transitions we had to be more incisive and we didn't succeed, but we won a point and I'm not unhappy because we got it by trying to win until the end."
"Yesterday Contiliano and Zilli had a fever, but they still gritted their teeth to be there-I decided to give a chance to Nador, who played a great game and earned the public's approval because of his performance on the field."
"This point allows us to start again in the new work week with confidence and also the knowledge that we have extra resources, see Nador and Breit, but above all we have shown that we are a true group."
"This SPAL since I came back has manifested a continuity of attitude, showing that it wants to get out of its standings situation by playing openly against everyone. Now we prepare well and go to Ancona to play a great game."
"In my plans I had in mind to make more changes to try to win, because in the last 10 minutes we could have exploited the restarts more by employing Rao, but the substitutions of Fiordaliso and Nador made me make different choices."
"Today we never gave an inch and it's been a while since we've seen SPAL like this. We have to achieve salvation with this attitude, focusing on our own qualities and not on the demerits of the opponents."
