Under-15 finishes fourth and prepares for playoff match against Udinese
Last weekend saw the conclusion of the regular stage of the national championships reserved for Serie A and Serie B teams in the Under 16 and Under 15 categories.
Coach Michele Troiano's Under 16 biancazzurra played a real playoff preview against Brescia, suffering an unfortunate comeback right in the final minutes of the game after the lead goal scored by Rocco in the first half.
With the defeat accrued under the blows of Policardo and Ragazzoni, SPAL thus ended the championship in seventh place, being overtaken in extremis by the Rondinelle themselves.
With qualification for the playoffs already obtained on the previous day, coach Massimiliano De Gregorio's Under 15 team was only waiting to know which would be their opponent in the first round of the play-offs for the national title in their category.
The 1-1 draw obtained in the home of Brescia means fourth final position for the young Spallini, who are preparing to return to the field as early as Sunday, April 23, against Udinese. Playoff regulations state that in the first round only one match will be played at the home of the best-ranked team, which can gain qualification to the next stage in the event of either a win or a draw.
