In a "G.B. Fabbri" full of fans, SPAL overcomes Corticella 4-0

In front of more than one thousand five hundred spectators, coach Mimmo Di Carlo's biancazzurri won 4-0 over Corticella, thus repeating the success obtained against Treviso yesterday.

In a sold-out "G.B. Fabbri" SPAL needed just a little more than a quarter of an hour to go ahead thanks to the goal of Imputato who, after regaining the ball just outside the penalty area, found himself face-to-face with Martelli and did not miss and scored the 1-0.

Three laps of the clock later came the doubling with a diagonal conclusion by Tripaldelli, who was the quickest to collect the ball cleared by the opponent's goalkeeper following Siligardi's corner.

Ten minutes from the end of the first half, here comes the biancazzurro's tris, which again stems from a corner kick taken by Siligardi on which Carraro rushes in and beats Martelli, also facilitated by a touch from Bologna defender Mezzadri.

In the second half it was Rao's turn to close the score once and for all: a deep ball by Boccia for the insertion of the class of 2006 striker, who beat Bruzzi on the way out and scored the 4-0 goal.

At the end of the match coach Mimmo Di Carlo commented on the test against Corticella as follows, "The presence of so many fans for our friendly match was undoubtedly the best thing about this day, we really thank them for their closeness and I hope they also enjoyed it. Today the team put in courage and desire to not want to take goals. I liked the general attitude of the group and the search for play through the side chains, as I had asked for: I think we did well overall in front of an opponent who was well fielded and to whom I give my compliments. It's still August soccer and the result matters relatively, but we hold on to this round victory and the fact that we ended the match with the goal unbeaten."

"The two friendlies this weekend," added the biancazzurro coach, "have allowed me to play all the guys at my disposal, including even some Primavera players, putting valuable minutes in the legs and increasing more and more the group's harmony. It is clear that we need to be able to play more with the forwards but for this we need time and in the next tests that we will sustain before the start of the championship, we will be able to grow in this aspect as well. However, the attitude is the right one and this year it will be the most important thing, we must be able to drag our fans with that passion, desire and determination that are indispensable to win matches. In addition to quality we also need determination and aggressiveness, two aspects that I am beginning to see in this team."
