Primavera team draws in season opener against Parma

SPAL Primavera's season debut at the "Città di Vignola" Tournament against Parma Calcio ends in a 1-1 draw.

After a balanced first half, which saw SPAL create two clear goal chances with Simonetta, the biancazzurri unblocked the match on the quarter-hour of the second half.

It was a splendid play by coach Vito Grieco's lineup, initiated by Marrale and finalized by Simonetta, that put SPAL on top 1-0: Marrale's ball for Carbone, who escapes to the right and leans to the center for the Spallino number 10, who places the ball in the cross.

Two minutes later Antonciuc came close to doubling the score with a diagonal left-footed shot, but his conclusion went off on the outside of the net. Midway through the second half, the gialloblù found the equalizing goal through the initiative of Elia, whose diagonal shot beat Costantini and fixed the score at 1-1.

The biancazzurri will return to the field on Thursday, August 10, at 7 p.m., again on the grounds of the Stadio Comunale "Caduti di Superga," when they face the Under-19 selection of Terre di Castelli.
