Happy first birthday SPAL Foundation

It is with great pride that today SPAL Foundation celebrates its first year of activity.

Despite the foundation's recent start of activities, there are already many projects implemented to benefit the entire Ferrara area and community. Among the best known is certainly SPeciALissimi, an inclusive soccer project whose protagonists are a group of youngsters with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 7 and 14, who have the opportunity to carry out two targeted weekly meetings with our athletic trainers and sports psychologists. This year this initiative has seen an increase in the number of participants, which, compared to the last edition, has risen from 20 to almost 30. In addition, this year's edition brings with it another small novelty that better than anything else describes the centrality of the SPeciALissimi within the SPAL family: it is the venue chosen for Saturday training, namely the fields of the SPAL Sports Center, where the first team trains daily.

Still, the Scuola Biancazzurra, with its numerous activities including orientation with prominent figures from the SPAL world, interviews of the Biancazzurro Corner with our players, guided tours of the "Mazza" Stadium and creative workshops for the youngest, as well as training sessions in elementary school with SPAL athletic trainers. Recall that last season ended with the extraordinary participation in the project of more than 3,000 students belonging to 30 different schools, for a total of 110 meetings. For this new year we expect similar success given the ready response of educational institutions to be involved in our initiatives again.

In addition to these two projects are many other activities and initiatives that will be launched by SPAL Foundation in the coming months. These will include the organization of fundraising events to support realities that work in favor of the community, as was the case, among others, for the SPAL Egg Hunt last April, the proceeds of which were entirely donated to the "I Frutti dell'Albero" Cooperative in support of children suffering from various forms of autism. Right on the heels of that initiative, on Friday, December 22, the SPAL Santa's Workshop will be held, the proceeds of which will instead be donated to support music therapy and pediatric palliative care projects promoted by Associazione Giulia.

The Biancazzurra Foundation, aware of the importance and delicacy of its mission, is defining numerous new activities aimed at promoting and sharing the positive values of sports, both on and off the field, training in prevention and the fight against cyberbullying and gender-based violence, as well as moral and material support toward the most fragile categories and the enhancement of the realities that work in favor of animals particularly in need.

In collaboration with our partners and third-sector associations that support us in our initiatives, SPAL Foundation wants to continue to grow by involving the Ferrara community more and more and, at the same time, wishes to thank all those who have supported and will still support the development of the initiatives promoted by the biancazzurra foundation.

SPAL Foundation reminds that it is always possible to support its activities through a liberal disbursement via bank transfer to current account IT68M0538713004000003694849.
