Virtus Entella - SPAL, coach Di Carlo's pre-match conference

After finishing the preparations on the eve of the match, coach Mimmo Di Carlo presented the Virtus Entella - SPAL match, scheduled for Sunday, April 14 at 4:15 p.m., in the pre-match press conference of the 36th day of the Serie C NOW 2023-2024 Championship.

"There are still three matches and nine points left. Despite the many victories in the last period we are still fighting for salvation and, therefore, it is necessary to be realistic and make the best of the last three days. We know we are going up against a tricky team, which plays on a synthetic field and is very good at raising the tempo and playing fast soccer. We have studied it well and we have to go to Chiavari with our qualities and determination without making many calculations."

"We have to go on the field with the right head to bring home the three points, then we will see what the verdict of the field will be. We trained well knowing that Virtus Entella is a tricky opponent and, especially at home, they are reactive and aggressive but they also concede situations where we with our qualities will be able to put them in trouble. Tomorrow it will be important to stay focused at all times to bring home points."

"Carraro, Bassoli, Arena, Bruscagin and Antenucci will not be in the match. Mirco was unable to absorb in time the muscle strain he suffered earlier in the week and we do not want to risk him, all the more so on a synthetic surface. On the other hand, we have recovered all the players who were in doubt until a few days ago, and Sits will also be summoned with us for the first time after his injury."

"The team is doing well, and the victory we got against Gubbio brought the environment together even more, to get to the goal compactly always with the will and mentality of trying to get the best. Every component is pushing hard, and when this happens, some more quality emerges and some problems are lessened."

"Our goal is and always has been to achieve the maximum result in every game, but then on the field there are also the opponents and various moments of the competition. The ability of this team today, however, is to know how to suffer and we saw this in those games when we failed to perform at our best: there the group compacted and was able to defend every inch as never before. We have to save ourselves, and when a team has to save itself, it has to put anything inside the field: it will be fundamental to know how to bring the episodes to our side, take advantage of the loose balls, know how to read situations and always stay in the game from the first to the last minute."
